Hikoya: A Visit from a Graduate

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

On Monday, the school welcomes a special guest: Nilufar, a graduate of the class of 2015. She now works for an insurance company in Tashkent. When she enters the hall, the students gaze at her with great curiosity. "I will talk about commitment, not about money," she says. Dilya raises her hand at once and asks a question regarding Nilufar's first job.

Nilufar laughs. "At first, I thought my work was boring," she says. "But the function of insurance is simple: it protects people when life is hard. Many people perceive it as something abstract, yet it is very human." She tells the students about a unique case: a baker whose small shop was saved after a storm. Anvar writes in his notebook, "Think about others, not only about your own gain." Sam adds that selfish people rarely have real friends.

At the end, Nilufar explains how a teacher motivated her more than any prize. "Never underestimate the force of kind words," she says. She also talks about the relation between hard work and luck: luck visits those who prepare. "Good teachers can change a life significantly." The students clap for a long time, and Aziz decides to invite more graduates to the club.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Dushanba kuni maktab maxsus mehmonni kutib oladi: 2015-yil bitiruvchisi Nilufar. U hozir Toshkentdagi sug'urta kompaniyasida ishlaydi. U zalga kirganda o'quvchilar katta qiziqish bilan unga tikilib qoladi. «Men pul haqida emas, sadoqat haqida gapiraman», deydi u. Dilya darhol qo'l ko'tarib, Nilufarning birinchi ishi haqida savol beradi.

Nilufar kulib yuboradi. «Avvaliga ishimni zerikarli deb o'ylardim», deydi u. «Lekin sug'urtaning vazifasi oddiy: hayot og'ir kelganda odamlarni himoya qilish. Ko'pchilik uni mavhum narsa deb idrok etadi, aslida esa bu juda insoniy». U o'quvchilarga noyob holat haqida gapirib beradi: bo'rondan keyin kichik do'koni saqlab qolingan novvoy haqida. Anvar daftariga yozib qo'yadi: «Faqat o'z foydangiz haqida emas, boshqalar haqida ham o'ylang». Sem esa xudbin odamlarning haqiqiy do'sti kam bo'lishini qo'shimcha qiladi.

Oxirida Nilufar bir o'qituvchi uni har qanday mukofotdan ko'ra ko'proq ruhlantirganini aytadi. «Mehribon so'zlarning kuchini hech qachon kam baholamang», deydi u. U mehnat bilan omad o'rtasidagi aloqa haqida ham gapiradi: omad tayyorgarlik ko'rganlarga keladi. «Yaxshi o'qituvchilar hayotni sezilarli darajada o'zgartira oladi». O'quvchilar uzoq qarsak chaladi, Aziz esa klubga yana bitiruvchilarni taklif qilishga qaror qiladi.
