Hikoya: The Healthy Lunch Campaign

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

This month, the club has a new priority: healthier food in the school canteen. Aziz shows real leadership and divides the work among the friends. "Neither a nice opinion nor a good guess is enough," says Dilya. "We need proof." Mr. Brown agrees. "Verify every fact," he says, "because accuracy builds trust." The friends decide to start with the school nurse.

The nurse talks about nutrition. She cannot prescribe medicine, because only a doctor can do that, but she explains how food changes the daily cycle of energy. A student who skips breakfast often feels tired at ten o'clock. Sufficient water and some fruit help the brain, she says, and a banana with yogurt can partly compensate for a missed breakfast. Anvar writes everything down. A few simple rules govern the canteen menu, so the director listens carefully too.

Dilya puts the results on a web page that is accessible to every student. It contains no political ideology and no advertising, only facts. Many students visit it, and the potential for change is big. At the end of the week, the director promises one fruit day every week. "This is a good start," says Aziz.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Bu oy klubning yangi ustuvor vazifasi bor: maktab oshxonasida sog'lomroq ovqat. Aziz haqiqiy rahbarlik ko'rsatib, ishni do'stlari o'rtasida bo'lib beradi. «Chiroyli fikr ham, yaxshi taxmin ham yetarli emas», deydi Dilya. «Bizga isbot kerak». Mr. Brown rozi bo'ladi. «Har bir faktni tekshirib ko'ring», deydi u, «chunki aniqlik ishonch uyg'otadi». Do'stlar maktab hamshirasidan boshlashga qaror qiladi.

Hamshira oziqlanish haqida gapiradi. U dori buyura olmaydi, chunki buni faqat shifokor qiladi, lekin ovqat kunlik quvvat davrini qanday o'zgartirishini tushuntiradi. Nonushtani o'tkazib yuborgan o'quvchi ko'pincha soat o'nda charchagan bo'ladi. Yetarli suv va ozgina meva miyaga yordam beradi, deydi u, yogurt bilan banan esa o'tkazib yuborilgan nonushtaning o'rnini qisman qoplashi mumkin. Anvar hammasini yozib oladi. Oshxona menyusini bir necha oddiy qoida boshqaradi, shuning uchun direktor ham diqqat bilan tinglaydi.

Dilya natijalarni har bir o'quvchi kira oladigan veb-sahifaga joylaydi. Unda hech qanday siyosiy mafkura ham, reklama ham yo'q — faqat faktlar. Ko'p o'quvchilar sahifaga kiradi va o'zgarish imkoniyati katta. Hafta oxirida direktor har hafta bitta meva kunini va'da qiladi. «Bu yaxshi boshlanish», deydi Aziz.
