Hikoya: The Founder's Monument

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

The club visits the monument of the city's founder in the central square. The statue is stunning, and its proportions are perfect: the head, the arms and the long coat look exactly right. A sign says that visitors may take photos, but touching the stone is strictly forbidden, because even a small touch can harm it.

Aziz is invited to recite a poem for the guests, and he does it solely from memory. Sam, who is clumsy, drops his phone, and it nearly hits a bench. "Do not talk nonsense," says Dilya, "and watch your feet!" Meanwhile a man shows a fake coin and claims that it belongs to the founder's time. Anvar looks closely and shakes his head.

Later, in a friendly debate, the club tries to defeat the older students' team. The question is whether the city should build a new monument or repair the old ones. Dilya advocates repair, and she explains the implication of leaving old stones in the rain. A new problem arises when Sam forgets his notes, but Anvar helps him. The judges announce a draw, and everybody laughs.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Klub markaziy maydondagi shahar asoschisining yodgorligiga boradi. Haykal hayratlanarli, uning nisbatlari mukammal: bosh, qo'llar va uzun kamzul aynan joyida ko'rinadi. Lavhada mehmonlar suratga olishi mumkinligi, ammo toshga tegish qat'iyan taqiqlanishi yozilgan, chunki hatto kichik teginish ham unga zarar yetkazishi mumkin.

Aziz mehmonlar uchun she'r yoddan aytib berishga taklif qilinadi va uni faqat xotiradan o'qiydi. Epsiz Sem telefonini tushirib yuboradi, u skameykaga zo'rg'a tegmay qoladi. «Bema'ni gaplar aytma», deydi Dilya, «va oyog'ing ostiga qara!» Shu orada bir kishi soxta tanga ko'rsatib, u asoschi davriga tegishli deb da'vo qiladi. Anvar yaqindan qarab, bosh chayqaydi.

Keyinroq do'stona munozarada klub katta o'quvchilar jamoasini mag'lub etishga harakat qiladi. Savol shundaki, shahar yangi yodgorlik qursinmi yoki eskilarini ta'mirlasinmi. Dilya ta'mirlashni yoqlab chiqadi va eski toshlarni yomg'ir ostida qoldirishning oqibatini tushuntiradi. Sem yozuvlarini unutganda yangi muammo yuzaga keladi, lekin Anvar unga yordam beradi. Hakamlar durang e'lon qiladi va hamma kuladi.
