Hikoya: Class versus Class

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

Class 10A plays Class 10B in a friendly football match, and the whole school is excited. The game is widely known as the biggest event of the autumn. Dilya has a dilemma, because her friends play for different teams: Aziz for 10A and Anvar for 10B. The board shows "10A versus 10B." There is a shortage of players in 10B, so Sam joins them in casual clothes. "My loyalty is to football, not to a class," he says.

In the first half, a bee stings Sam on the arm. The school nurse cleans the small wound to stop any infection. Then Sam sits on the bench with a bandage and reads a book about a sea voyage. Meanwhile, the referee's judgment angers the crowd, because he gives a penalty to 10A. Some fans shout that he has a partial view from the far side of the field. A rumor about a changed ball spreads, and Mr. Brown calls it a small scandal about nothing.

At half time, such rumors could undermine the team spirit, so Dilya and Mr. Brown formulate a short message for the loudspeaker. Both captains shake hands and promise mutual respect. The second half is calm, and the match ends in a draw. "A fair game is better than a win," says Aziz, and Anvar agrees.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

10-A sinf 10-B sinf bilan do'stlik futbol o'yinini o'ynaydi va butun maktab hayajonda. O'yin kuzning eng katta voqeasi sifatida keng tanilgan. Dilya qiyin tanlov oldida turibdi, chunki do'stlari turli jamoalarda o'ynaydi: Aziz 10-A uchun, Anvar esa 10-B uchun. Taxtada «10-A 10-B ga qarshi» deb yozilgan. 10-B da o'yinchilar yetishmaydi, shuning uchun Sem oddiy kiyimda ularga qo'shiladi. «Mening sadoqatim sinfga emas, futbolga», deydi u.

Birinchi bo'limda ari Semning qo'lini chaqadi. Maktab hamshirasi infeksiya bo'lmasligi uchun kichik jarohatni tozalaydi. Keyin Sem bint bog'langan holda o'rindiqda o'tirib, dengiz safari haqidagi kitobni o'qiydi. Shu orada hakamning bahosi olomonni g'azablantiradi, chunki u 10-A ga penalti beradi. Ba'zi muxlislar hakam maydonning narigi tomonidan qisman ko'rishini baqirib aytadi. To'p almashtirilgani haqida mish-mish tarqaladi, Mr. Brown esa buni hech narsa haqidagi kichik sharmandali voqea deb ataydi.

Tanaffusda bunday mish-mishlar jamoa ruhini yemirishi mumkin, shuning uchun Dilya va Mr. Brown karnay uchun qisqa xabar tuzadi. Ikkala sardor qo'l berib ko'rishadi va o'zaro hurmatga va'da beradi. Ikkinchi bo'lim sokin o'tadi va o'yin durang bilan tugaydi. «Adolatli o'yin g'alabadan yaxshi», deydi Aziz, Anvar ham rozi bo'ladi.
