Hikoya: Anvar's Evening Job

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

Lately, Anvar has worked in the evenings at his uncle's small hotel. His uncle is strict but fair. Anvar's wage is small, but he works at the reception desk and learns how to greet guests. The first rule is simple: do not overlook the details.

One evening, Anvar accidentally knocks a glass of water onto the guest list. A transparent plastic folder saves most of the pages. A tall guest with an aggressive voice shouts at him, and Anvar has to endure his loud criticism. Then the uncle makes an announcement: dinner is ready. The guest goes away, still angry.

Later, the power fails, and the lift stops with an old lady inside. She is the victim of the dark, and she is afraid. Anvar speaks to her calmly through the door until the rescue team arrives. The old lady thanks him warmly. Mr. Rahim, the old doorman, gives Anvar a nod. "Wisdom comes slowly," he says, "but today you have courage, and that is enough."

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

So'nggi paytlarda Anvar kechqurunlari amakisining kichik mehmonxonasida ishlayapti. Amakisi qattiqqo'l, lekin adolatli. Anvarning ish haqi kam, lekin u qabulxona stolida ishlaydi va mehmonlarni kutib olishni o'rganadi. Birinchi qoida oddiy: tafsilotlarni e'tibordan chetda qoldirma.

Bir kuni kechqurun Anvar tasodifan mehmonlar ro'yxati ustiga bir stakan suv to'kib yuboradi. Shaffof plastik papka sahifalarning ko'pini saqlab qoladi. Tajovuzkor ovozli baland bo'yli mehmon unga baqiradi va Anvar uning qattiq tanqidiga bardosh berishi kerak. Keyin amakisi e'lon qiladi: kechki ovqat tayyor. Mehmon hamon jahli chiqqan holda ketadi.

Keyinroq elektr o'chadi va lift ichida bir kampir bilan to'xtab qoladi. U qorong'ilikning jabrdiydasi va qo'rqib ketgan. Anvar qutqaruv guruhi kelguncha eshik orqali u bilan xotirjam gaplashadi. Kampir unga samimiy minnatdorchilik bildiradi. Eski eshikbon Mr. Rahim Anvarga bosh irg'aydi. «Donolik sekin keladi», deydi u, «lekin bugun senda jasorat bor va bu yetarli».
