Hikoya: The Lemonade Stand

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

The club needs money for a school trip, so Aziz has a business idea: a lemonade stand in front of the school. The director agrees on one condition: all the money must go into a club account. Dilya visits the finance department of the school. A kind lady explains the rules in clear words. "A small business can benefit the club," she says, "if you keep good records."

Anvar is interested in economic ideas, so he becomes the manager. "We must maintain a low price," he says, "and still make a small profit." Upon seeing the empty street, Sam decides to advertise. He makes a loud sign and shouts, "Free lemonade!" Ten children run to the stand. Anvar covers his face. "It is not free!" he says. "Otherwise our financial plan will fail!" Sam's response is a very small "Sorry."

Mr. Brown writes a schedule, so every friend can participate. Each person works for one hour. The resources are limited: the club has only twelve lemons and one small jug. But the weather is hot, and people are thirsty. By the evening, the jug is empty, and the account has enough money for all the bus tickets. "Next time," says Aziz, "we need a bigger jug."

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Klubga maktab sayohati uchun pul kerak, shuning uchun Azizda biznes g'oyasi bor: maktab oldida limonad peshtaxtasi. Direktor bir shart bilan rozi bo'ladi: barcha pul klub hisob raqamiga tushishi kerak. Dilya maktabning moliya bo'limiga boradi. Mehribon bir xonim qoidalarni aniq so'zlar bilan tushuntiradi. «Kichik biznes klubga foyda keltirishi mumkin», deydi u, «agar siz yaxshi hisob yuritsangiz».

Anvar iqtisodiy g'oyalarga qiziqadi, shuning uchun u menejer bo'ladi. «Biz narxni past saqlashimiz kerak», deydi u, «va shunga qaramay ozgina foyda ko'rishimiz kerak». Bo'm-bo'sh ko'chani ko'rgan Sem reklama qilishga qaror qiladi. U baland yozuv yasab: «Bepul limonad!» deb baqiradi. O'nta bola peshtaxta tomon yuguradi. Anvar yuzini bekitadi. «Bu bepul emas!» deydi u. «Aks holda moliyaviy rejamiz barbod bo'ladi!» Semning javobi juda sekin «Kechirasizlar» bo'ladi.

Mr. Brown jadval tuzadi, shunda har bir do'st ishtirok eta oladi. Har kim bir soatdan ishlaydi. Resurslar cheklangan: klubda atigi o'n ikkita limon va bitta kichik ko'za bor. Lekin havo issiq va odamlar chanqagan. Kechga kelib ko'za bo'shaydi, hisob raqamida esa barcha avtobus chiptalariga yetadigan pul bo'ladi. «Keyingi safar», deydi Aziz, «bizga kattaroq ko'za kerak».
