Hikoya: The Little Lamb

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

During a trip to the hills, the club finds a lamb alone on the road. The little animal is frightened and stares at the friends with big black eyes. Its wool is wet and dirty. "Nobody would abandon a lamb on purpose," says Dilya. "It must be lost." Sam sits next to it in the grass, and for a long time nobody says anything. The silence is warm, and slowly the lamb feels safe.

The lamb coughs, and Aziz notices a symptom of a cold. "We should take it to the village," he says. The way is uncomfortable, because the sun is hot and the lamb is heavy. Once it jumps from Sam's arms near the road, and it is a frightening moment. After that, its behaviour is strange: it follows only Anvar. Sam protests loudly. "I found it first!" Afterwards, he sulks for ten minutes.

In the village, an old shepherd runs to meet them. The lamb is his, and he thought it was lost forever. "I never had the intention of losing it," he says. "I only closed my eyes for a minute." He praises the children and wants to entertain them with tea and songs. Dilya does not want to offend him, so the friends stay. Sam falls asleep on a carpet with the lamb on his chest.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Tepaliklarga sayohat paytida klub yo'lda yolg'iz qo'zichoqni topadi. Kichkina hayvon qo'rqib ketgan va do'stlarga katta qora ko'zlari bilan tikilib turadi. Uning juni ho'l va iflos. «Hech kim qo'zichoqni ataylab tashlab ketmaydi», deydi Dilya. «U adashgan bo'lsa kerak». Sem uning yoniga maysaga o'tiradi va uzoq vaqt hech kim hech narsa demaydi. Sukunat iliq, qo'zichoq esa asta-sekin o'zini xavfsiz his qiladi.

Qo'zichoq yo'talib, Aziz shamollash alomatini payqaydi. «Uni qishloqqa olib borishimiz kerak», deydi u. Yo'l noqulay, chunki quyosh issiq, qo'zichoq esa og'ir. Bir marta u Semning qo'lidan yo'l yonida sakrab tushadi va bu qo'rqinchli lahza bo'ladi. Shundan keyin uning xulqi g'alati: u faqat Anvarga ergashadi. Sem baland ovozda norozilik bildiradi. «Uni birinchi men topdim!» Keyinroq u o'n daqiqa xafa bo'lib yuradi.

Qishloqda keksa cho'pon ularni kutib olgani yuguradi. Qo'zichoq uniki va u uni abadiy yo'qolgan deb o'ylagan edi. «Uni yo'qotish niyatim hech qachon bo'lmagan», deydi u. «Men faqat bir daqiqaga ko'zimni yumgan edim». U bolalarni maqtaydi va ularni choy hamda qo'shiqlar bilan xursand qilmoqchi. Dilya uni xafa qilishni xohlamaydi, shuning uchun do'stlar qoladi. Sem qo'zichoq ko'ksida yotgan holda gilamda uxlab qoladi.
