Hikoya: The Mountain Club

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

The friends join a mountain club for the weekend. The leader, Mr. Karim, is very polite. "Look at the danger sign," he says. "We climb slowly, and we help each other." Sam has a big fear of height. "I do not like this," he whispers. Aziz plays a small instrument, a dutar, to make him calm.

At the top, Mr. Karim's wife cooks a big dish of plov. Dilya is on a diet, so she does not eat. "Please do not mention my diet," she says. Sam is not hungry either, because of his fear. Then a curious goat walks to them. It eats Sam's bread, and then it eats Dilya's apple. "That goat is rude!" says Dilya.

"Please do not feed it," says Mr. Karim, laughing. "I own that goat, and it eats everything." That evening, the goat follows the friends down the mountain. "Now we have a new member in the club," says Aziz.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Do'stlar dam olish kunlari uchun tog' klubiga qo'shiladi. Rahbar, Mr. Karim, juda odobli. «Xavf belgisiga qarang», deydi u. «Biz sekin ko'tarilamiz va bir-birimizga yordam beramiz». Semning balandlikdan qo'rquvi katta. «Bu menga yoqmayapti», deb pichirlaydi u. Aziz uni tinchlantirish uchun kichik cholg'u asbobi — dutorda chaladi.

Tepada Mr. Karimning rafiqasi katta idishda palov pishiradi. Dilya parhezda, shuning uchun yemaydi. «Iltimos, parhezim haqida gapirmang», deydi u. Qo'rquv tufayli Semning ham ishtahasi yo'q. Shu payt ularga qiziquvchan echki yaqinlashadi. U Semning nonini, keyin Dilyaning olmasini yeydi. «Bu echki qo'pol!» deydi Dilya.

«Iltimos, uni ovqatlantirmang», deydi Mr. Karim kulib. «Bu echkining egasi menman, u hamma narsani yeydi». O'sha kuni kechqurun echki do'stlar ortidan tog'dan tushadi. «Endi klubimizda yangi a'zo bor», deydi Aziz.
