Hikoya: The Stargazing Night

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

On a clear Saturday night, the club goes to a hill outside the city to watch the stars. Mr. Brown has real expertise in astronomy, and he promises a lesson about the universe. Everyone must comply with one rule: no lights, because lights spoil the view. Sam arrives late and gives a quick apology, but Mr. Brown only smiles. The beauty of the dark sky prompts Dilya to ask a hundred questions.

Dilya uses her scissors to cut a paper circle for her star map. Mr. Brown explains that carbon, the same element in our bodies, was made inside old stars. Anvar is terrified of the dark, so Sam gives him a sour candy, and they both make funny faces. Suddenly Aziz sees a peculiar red light near the horizon. "That is Mars," says Mr. Brown.

When Saturn rises, everyone feels a thrill. "Personally, I have never seen it before," says Aziz. Mr. Brown speaks about Ulugh Beg and the legacy of his observatory in Samarkand. He adds that some ancient people believed that, after a funeral, the souls of the dead travel to the stars. Dilya takes the lesson seriously and writes every word in her notebook.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Ochiq shanba oqshomida klub yulduzlarni kuzatish uchun shahar tashqarisidagi tepalikka boradi. Mr. Brown astronomiya bo'yicha chuqur bilimga ega va koinot haqida dars va'da qiladi. Hamma bitta qoidaga rioya qilishi kerak: chiroq yo'q, chunki chiroq manzarani buzadi. Sem kechikib keladi va tezgina uzr so'raydi, lekin Mr. Brown faqat jilmayadi. Qorong'i osmonning go'zalligi Dilyani yuzta savol berishga undaydi.

Dilya yulduz xaritasi uchun qaychi bilan qog'oz doira kesadi. Mr. Brown tanamizdagi element bo'lgan uglerod qadimgi yulduzlar ichida hosil bo'lganini tushuntiradi. Anvar qorong'idan qo'rqib ketgan, shuning uchun Sem unga nordon konfet beradi va ikkalasi kulgili basharalar qiladi. To'satdan Aziz ufq yaqinida g'alati qizil yorug'likni ko'radi. «Bu Mars», deydi Mr. Brown.

Saturn ko'tarilganda hamma hayajonni his qiladi. «Shaxsan men uni avval hech qachon ko'rmaganman», deydi Aziz. Mr. Brown Ulug'bek va uning Samarqanddagi rasadxonasi merosi haqida gapiradi. U qadimgi ba'zi xalqlar dafn marosimidan keyin marhumlarning ruhlari yulduzlarga yo'l oladi deb ishonganini qo'shimcha qiladi. Dilya darsni jiddiy qabul qiladi va har bir so'zni daftariga yozadi.
