Hikoya: The Interview

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

Aziz has a big dream: he wants to be a reporter. One day, a lovely woman from a TV channel in Tashkent calls him. "We want an interview with a clever boy from your English club," she says. "Perhaps you can come tomorrow? Your flight leaves at seven." Aziz almost drops his phone. "Yes, I will be there!"

That night, Aziz must pack his bag. He runs across the room, and he knocks over a bowl of fruit. Then he opens the fridge by mistake and looks at a cold watermelon. "Why do I need this?" he asks. Sam comes to help. "Pretend I am the reporter," says Sam. "I ask, and you answer." "Is that fair?" says Aziz. "Your questions are always hard!"

In the studio, a blue curtain hangs behind a big chair. Aziz exchanges a nervous smile with the lovely woman. "Tell us about your dream," she says. Aziz thinks for a long time. Then he says, "To sleep. I did not sleep last night!" Everyone laughs, and the interview is a big success.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Azizning katta orzusi bor: u muxbir bo'lishni xohlaydi. Bir kuni Toshkentdagi telekanaldan yoqimli bir ayol unga qo'ng'iroq qiladi. «Biz sizning ingliz klubingizdagi aqlli bola bilan intervyu o'tkazmoqchimiz», deydi u. «Balki ertaga kela olarsiz? Reysingiz soat yettida uchadi». Aziz telefonini tushirib yuboray dedi. «Ha, men u yerda bo'laman!»

O'sha kechasi Aziz sumkasini joylashi kerak. U xona bo'ylab yuguradi va bir kosa mevani ag'darib yuboradi. Keyin adashib muzlatgichni ochadi va sovuq tarvuzga qaraydi. «Menga bu nega kerak?» deb so'raydi u. Sem yordamga keladi. «Men muxbirman deb tasavvur qil», deydi Sem. «Men so'rayman, sen javob berasan». «Bu adolatlimi?» deydi Aziz. «Sening savollaring doim qiyin-ku!»

Studiyada katta kreslo orqasida ko'k parda osilib turadi. Aziz yoqimli ayol bilan asabiy tabassum almashadi. «Orzungiz haqida gapirib bering», deydi u. Aziz uzoq o'ylaydi. Keyin aytadi: «Uxlash. Kecha uxlamadim!» Hamma kuladi, intervyu katta muvaffaqiyat bo'ladi.
