Hikoya: A Visitor at the Club

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

Finally, the second book begins! On Monday morning, Aziz walks to the English club with a big piece of cake in his bag. The door is closed. "Is anyone here?" he asks. Nobody answers. Then he sees a sign: "Club starts on Tuesday." Aziz laughs. It is a small mistake, but a funny one. He eats the cake alone on the steps.

On Tuesday, a visitor arrives early. He is a serious man with a deep voice and a long grey coat. "I want to see your club," he says. Dilya gives him a chair. "Please add your name to the list," she says. "We start in a couple of minutes." The visitor writes "Mr. Brown", and everyone waits.

The first exercise is interesting. Each student must make one point about English. Sam wants to include his toy monkey in the answer, but Dilya says no. Suddenly the light goes out. Mr. Brown takes a small tool from his pocket and fixes the lamp in one minute. "Are you a doctor of lamps?" asks Sam. "No," smiles Mr. Brown. "I am your new teacher."

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Nihoyat, ikkinchi kitob boshlanadi! Dushanba kuni ertalab Aziz sumkasida katta bir bo'lak tort bilan ingliz tili klubiga boradi. Eshik yopiq. «Bu yerda kimdir bormi?» deb so'raydi u. Hech kim javob bermaydi. Keyin u e'lonni ko'radi: «Klub seshanba kuni boshlanadi». Aziz kuladi. Bu kichik xato, lekin kulgili. U tortni zinapoyada yolg'iz yeydi.

Seshanba kuni bir mehmon erta keladi. U jiddiy, yo'g'on ovozli, uzun kulrang paltoli odam. «Men sizning klubingizni ko'rmoqchiman», deydi u. Dilya unga stul beradi. «Iltimos, ismingizni ro'yxatga qo'shing», deydi u. «Ikki-uch daqiqadan keyin boshlaymiz». Mehmon «Mr. Brown» deb yozadi, hamma kutadi.

Birinchi mashq qiziqarli. Har bir o'quvchi ingliz tili haqida bitta fikr aytishi kerak. Sem javobiga o'yinchoq maymunini ham kiritmoqchi, lekin Dilya yo'q deydi. To'satdan chiroq o'chadi. Mr. Brown cho'ntagidan kichik asbob olib, lampani bir daqiqada tuzatadi. «Siz lampa shifokorimisiz?» deb so'raydi Sem. «Yo'q», jilmayadi Mr. Brown. «Men sizlarning yangi o'qituvchingizman».
