Hikoya: At the Market

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

It is March, and Dilya has a list for the market. "Bread, milk, white rice and black tea," she reads. Aziz comes with her to carry the bags. They start at a big building in the middle of the city.

In front of the building, a woman sells rice. Her baby sleeps in a small bed next to her table, and her son and his friend play with a ball. "Let me help you," says the boy. "I can put the rice in your bag." He is only five!

Dilya looks at the list. It is all in the bag. Then the baby opens his eyes and laughs. Dilya and Aziz laugh too. "The market is great," says Aziz, "but this is the best thing today!"

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Mart oyi, Dilyaning bozor uchun ro'yxati bor. «Non, sut, oq guruch va qora choy», deb o'qiydi u. Aziz sumkalarni ko'tarish uchun u bilan birga keladi. Ular shaharning o'rtasidagi katta binodan boshlaydi.

Bino oldida bir ayol guruch sotadi. Uning chaqalog'i stol yonidagi kichkina beshikda uxlaydi, o'g'li va uning do'sti esa to'p o'ynaydi. «Yordam beray», deydi bola. «Guruchni sumkangizga solib beraman». U atigi besh yoshda!

Dilya ro'yxatga qaraydi. Hammasi sumkada. Shu payt chaqaloq ko'zini ochib kuladi. Dilya bilan Aziz ham kuladi. «Bozor zo'r», deydi Aziz, «lekin bugungi eng yaxshi narsa — mana shu!»
