How your information is used

EssentialGame.uz (“the Site”, “we”) is located at essentialgame.uz. By using the Site you confirm that you have read this policy.

1. What information do we collect?

The Site does not ask for your name, phone number, email address, password or payment details. Creating an account is not required either.

Only the following data is stored on your device: the last opened book and unit, your points, completed units, the review notebook (words you missed or marked as “hard”), your choice of showing example-sentence translations, the story reading speed, the result of the last placement test, your meaning-language choice (Uzbek or Russian) and the dark-mode setting. It stays in your browser’s localStorage and is not sent to our server. If you clear your browser data, it is deleted.

If you install the Site on your phone, the site files are stored on your device so it can open faster and work offline. The “Xato topdingizmi?” (“Found a mistake?”) button opens the Telegram app with a prepared message; the message reaches us only after you press “Send”. The unit, the word and your browser name are added to the message automatically, and you can edit them before sending. The “Progressni saqlash” (“Save progress”) button writes your points, completed units and review notebook to a file on your own device only, and the “restore” button reads the file you choose on your own device only; this file is not sent to our server.

The Site is hosted on Netlify. As with any website, the hosting provider may temporarily keep technical logs such as the IP address, request time and browser type. We do not use this data to identify you.

2. Google Analytics

To understand how much the Site is used, we use Google Analytics (GA4). It collects general statistics such as the number of page views, approximate region, device and browser type, as well as events such as which game mode was opened and which unit was completed. 3. Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)

The Site may show ads through Google AdSense. In this connection:

• third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites;
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet;
• cookies and similar technologies may also be used to measure ads, produce reports and prevent fraud;
• you may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings;
• alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info;

We show ads only through Google AdSense, and we will update this page before connecting any other ad network. We do not control the cookies of third parties: they operate under their own policies.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Site may display a consent message certified by Google. It lets you accept or decline cookies for advertising; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown.

We do not encourage anyone to click on ads. Please do not click on ads artificially: this is prohibited by our Terms of Use.

4. Third-party services

The Site uses the following external services:

• Google Fonts — to load the page fonts;
• jsDelivr — to load the game animation (confetti) library;
• Google Analytics — for statistics (see section 2);
• Google AdSense — for advertising (see section 3);
• Telegram — only when you click a Telegram link or the “Xato topdingizmi?” button.

These services may process your IP address and browser data under their own policies. When you go to an external site, that site’s privacy policy applies.

The pronunciation button (🔊) uses the speech synthesis feature of your browser; the text is read on your device and is not sent to us.

5. Managing cookies and stored data

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. This affects advertising. The browser’s “clear site data” action also deletes your learning progress from localStorage, so please save important progress to a file first with the “Save progress” button. The learning materials open even without cookies.

6. Your rights

Because we do not store data such as your name, phone number or email, we usually hold no personal data about you. If you sent us a message on Telegram, you can ask us to delete it. To manage your data in Google services, use your Google Account settings.

7. Children’s privacy

The Site is created for educational purposes and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

If the features of the Site or the law change, this policy may be updated. The new text is published on this page, and the date above shows when it was last changed.
