Hikoya: The School Website

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

At the start of Book Four, Mr. Brown gives the club a new mission: to build a website for the school. Aziz is determined to do it well. "Our ideas may differ," says Mr. Brown, "but a good team listens to everyone." The students drag four desks together, and Dilya connects her laptop to the school network. Sam is fully ready, with a big notebook full of drawings.

Then comes the first problem. Nobody can log in, because Anvar has forgotten the password. His instant idea is to try his birthday, but Dilya is critical. "A good password must be hard to guess," she says. At last, Mr. Brown finds the right one on an old piece of paper, and the friends send their first photos to him via email.

Next, the club makes a plan. Aziz writes a short comparison of three free website builders, and Sam asks about the payment for a web address. "There is a high demand for school news," says Dilya, "so people will read it." Anvar offers to write about school transport, because the buses are always late. Mr. Brown smiles. "This project will strengthen your English and your friendship," he says.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

To'rtinchi kitob boshida Mr. Brown klubga yangi topshiriq beradi: maktab uchun sayt yaratish. Aziz buni yaxshi bajarishga qat'iyatli. «Fikrlarimiz farq qilishi mumkin», deydi Mr. Brown, «lekin yaxshi jamoa har kimni tinglaydi». O'quvchilar to'rtta partani sudrab bir joyga qo'yadi, Dilya esa noutbukini maktab tarmog'iga ulaydi. Sem to'liq tayyor: uning qo'lida rasmlarga to'la katta daftar bor.

Keyin birinchi muammo chiqadi. Hech kim tizimga kira olmaydi, chunki Anvar parolni unutib qo'ygan. Uning bir zumdagi fikri tug'ilgan kunini sinab ko'rish, lekin Dilya buni tanqid qiladi. «Yaxshi parolni topish qiyin bo'lishi kerak», deydi u. Nihoyat, Mr. Brown to'g'ri parolni eski qog'ozdan topadi va do'stlar birinchi rasmlarini unga elektron pochta orqali yuboradi.

Keyin klub reja tuzadi. Aziz uchta bepul sayt yaratish xizmatining qisqacha taqqoslanishini yozadi, Sem esa sayt manzili uchun to'lov haqida so'raydi. «Maktab yangiliklariga talab katta», deydi Dilya, «shuning uchun odamlar o'qiydi». Anvar maktab transporti haqida yozishni taklif qiladi, chunki avtobuslar doim kech qoladi. Mr. Brown jilmayadi. «Bu loyiha inglizcha bilimingizni ham, do'stligingizni ham mustahkamlaydi», deydi u.
