Hikoya: A Cold Saturday

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

It is a cold Saturday, and the weather is bad. By seven in the evening, it is already dark. Aziz goes to the library on foot. He has his new camera in his bag, because he wants a photo of the snow.

At the library door, Aziz meets Dilya. "Do you have any coffee?" he asks. "I miss my morning cup!" "Only tea," says Dilya. "But we can share. I have another cup in my bag." They sit near the window with the warm tea.

Suddenly the lights go out. The library is dark! "What will happen now?" says Dilya. Aziz takes his camera and presses the button. The flash lights the room for one second. The librarian laughs. "Thank you!" she says. "Now I can find my lamp."

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Sovuq shanba, ob-havo yomon. Kechqurun soat yettiga kelib, allaqachon qorong'i. Aziz kutubxonaga piyoda boradi. Sumkasida yangi kamerasi bor, chunki qorning suratini olmoqchi.

Kutubxona eshigi oldida Aziz Dilya bilan uchrashadi. «Qahvang bormi?» deb so'raydi u. «Ertalabki piyolamni sog'indim!» «Faqat choy bor», deydi Dilya. «Lekin baham ko'ramiz. Sumkamda yana bitta piyola bor». Ular deraza yonida iliq choy bilan o'tiradi.

To'satdan chiroqlar o'chadi. Kutubxona qorong'i! «Endi nima bo'ladi?» deydi Dilya. Aziz kamerasini olib, tugmani bosadi. Chaqnash xonani bir soniyaga yoritadi. Kutubxonachi kuladi. «Rahmat!» deydi u. «Endi chiroqchamni topa olaman».
