Hikoya: By the Sea

Unit so'zlari matnda ajratib ko'rsatilgan. Gapni bossangiz, hikoya shu gapdan o'qiladi.

It is February, and the sea is gray and cold. Aziz, Dilya and Sam go to a small café by the sea. The waiter says, "Welcome! Your table is ready." The table is near a big window, and the wall is full of old photos.

"Why is the sea so loud today?" asks Dilya. "It is only the wind," says Sam. "Let us watch the waves." Aziz sits down with a pain in his back. "I am fine," he says. "I only need to rest."

Outside, a boy plays with a ball, and the wind takes it into the sea. Sam runs after it. "Wait here!" he says to the boy. Soon he comes back with the ball. The boy's mother brings a box of cakes. "Ask me if you need anything," she says. At five o'clock, the friends leave the café with full stomachs.

O'zbekcha tarjimasi

Fevral oyi, dengiz kulrang va sovuq. Aziz, Dilya va Sem dengiz bo'yidagi kichkina kafega boradi. Ofitsiant aytadi: «Xush kelibsiz! Stolingiz tayyor». Stol katta deraza yonida, devor esa eski suratlarga to'la.

«Nega dengiz bugun shunchalik shovqinli?» deb so'raydi Dilya. «Bu shunchaki shamol», deydi Sem. «To'lqinlarni tomosha qilamiz». Aziz belidagi og'riq bilan o'tiradi. «Men yaxshiman», deydi u. «Shunchaki dam olishim kerak».

Tashqarida bir bola to'p o'ynayapti, shamol to'pni dengizga olib ketadi. Sem uning ortidan yuguradi. «Shu yerda kut!» deydi u bolaga. Tez orada u to'p bilan qaytadi. Bolaning onasi bir quti pirojnoe olib keladi. «Biror narsa kerak bo'lsa, menga ayting», deydi u. Soat beshda do'stlar to'q qorin bilan kafedan chiqadi.
